Yeah, I'll be going through all of that. I'm also replacing the front kevlar brake lines with SS ones.

Also, I didn't mean to imply that the basic porting job I did was Superbike stuff. Just the incredibly large throttle bodies. I'm surprised they run as well as they do at low RPM. The marvels of fuel injection.

The Moriwaki full exhaust system for the RC51 is stainless steel - not titatium. It's not as beautiful as the Super Hawk titanium system. Not that it matters. It's going to be a track bike.

I'll post some more, as the project moves along. I'm taking the cooling system off and it will be down to the engine and rolling chassis.

It's unique that you built this bike for your friend but you're tearing it apart again. Tha't the ordinary part of this. You have to make it your own. Good luck with the project - post lots of pictures - I don't care that it's an RC51. It's still superchicken finger lickin' good!

Thanks for reminding me. That was a pretty old picture of her.

I did the engine work on it, but he did all of the other mods.
I'm not doing any more engine work at this time, just putting her on a diet and tuning the chassis. I need to research spring rates and determine a starting point for the extended shock length. We'll be doing a bunch more fork mods, as well.

Also making some substantial intake mods, with an airbox and ram-air snorkel.

I'm also figuring out what to do about directing air to the radiators. I've seen Thorsten Durbahn's ducts. I may go that route, if I haven't figured out a better system.

I've never understood why people take the fairings off their bikes and don't do anything to ensure good airflow across the radiators. That is the primary purpose of the fairing on a VTR.

Down to the basics. Engine and rolling chassis.
Lot's of shared heritage, but mounted in a GP style chassis.
