Good looking bike! Did you anodize the frame/swingarm?
You will put a chain on that beauty, won't you? |
thank you ,
doh i knew i for got something (chain)lol the frame was painted satin black (couldnt get the engine out to have it powder coated . swing arm/both subframes and other brackets were powder coated satin black |
Nice;)
Its gunna be a pain to keep those rims clean |
I gotta say that is a pretty cool looking VTR.
|
thanks guys .
i wont be getting it dirty so no need to clean lol |
You might have wanted to go with a brighter color (or is that colour....;)) You might blend into the background on that thing....
Nice bike  |

My guess is you were going for this? Nice bike, very close to what you ended up with! |
yeah, a pretty close likeness there. You chose a good model anyway. Looks good Lloydie.
I had white wheels on the 88 hurricane I sold to get the hawk and they weren't too bad to keep clean. OEM wheels are easy to clean compared the pic above and my carrozzerias which are a bitch, fortunately black. You ain't gonna have to worry about gettin it dirty without a chain anyway. ha |
Yep that's the one I wanted to reproduce the paint from :-)
I had a 95 blade with the 6 spoke wheels in white they were a pain to keep clean . But this time I've gave the wheels ample coats of wax and will continue to untill it's back on the road . This should make it easier to keep clean (I hope) I'm still yet to fit the chain as I know I can't ride it until I do so its not going back on till the weather improves in spring lol |

Riding in the snow isn't too bad with chains, the problem is falling off and then trying to pick the bike up before you get run over. Ha I try real hard to discipline myself to not ride when inclement conditions deem it unsafe. The problem occurs when those conditions persist longer than my self control.:D |
