What all did you have done slo?

Spoot 10-21-2013 08:48 PM

first day and you hit the track-pipe!?
Sweet.

well, sold my 1st Shawk in 2010. It was well setup and had done several dozen track days with me.

Bought #2, and immediately sent the fork off to Jamie. Bought a used Ohlins that turned out had a shot shock body. Three months later Ohlins finally came through (2nd one they sent).

Wrench day came and fresh Forks, fresh Ohlins Shock, new s20's, and some Leo pipes all went on. It still sat for afew weeks in the garage.

Two days before the track day some Coc*sucker stole my rc51 track bike :( SO, in the trailer went the Shawk. Sag set at the track, 2 clicks on the shock after the first session and all was awesome. It was like an old pair of jeans :)

The rearsets were a massive improvement in ground clearance over my last one.

So happy to be back on a S-hawk :)

Great pics. I don't get to see the underside of a Hawk that often.

Nice pics. Looks like good body position on the bike. Sounds like you know what you want but may I recommend 954 calipers with an '09 or similar CBR radial M/C. I'm running stock Honda 954 pads (I think, they came in the calipers).
I've only done 3 track days, 2 on the hawk. Hope to develop better body position in corners. I'm about 1/3 of the way!

Thanks superbeater, but at my speeds the brakes are fine :(

I think lowside pics show off the rider;

Where as highside pics show off the bike, and also hide my not so stellar riding skills ;)

That was the last session on the "other" bike ;)

Spoot 10-22-2013 11:08 PM

OMG.
That was sooo mean of you.
Please stop posting pics of the 'other' bike.

They all were, some still are. The S-hawk is the only 2 sided swinger I have :)
