Re: 2005
nice looking bike, welcome to the forum. I was looking at getting a 2005 but they gave me a great deal on an '02 with 56 miles on it and remainder of the factory warranty.

Nice, I like the grey.

I've heard grey are the slowest.. just what I heard.

Funny, I heard the same thing, and I live a good distance away... Must be true then :) Mikstr |
I didn't want to say it but.... that was another reason why I went with the 2002 (And I liked the red better than the grey also)
No matter what year or color they sure are nice bikes :)

Re: 2005
Don't let them fool you man. Black and grey are the fastest. The bright colors are just for those that like to "look" fast and get noticed. Stealth is the only way to go!

Re: 2005
Come now Vincent, it is well known that the dark (midnight) blue is the fastest. It has something to do with the way the air molecules bounce off of it (vibration frequencies and the like). If you do a Google search you will be able to find info about a study that was conducted in Latvia some years ago by the PDBL (Pro-Dark Blue League). Very informative :)
Now, that being said, I am told that black is a close second (but second nonetheless) :) Mikstr |
Re: 2005
For the record it's Titanium and we all know it's the lightest color of
what is offered. So it would stand to reason the fastest. It won't show up on a dyno, but in the real world. 8) |
Re: 2005
Ah Scott, you have so much to learn :) so, so much...
Seriously though, nice bike. Best of luck :) Mikstr |

Mikstr I guess the sign I saw at Starbucks: "PDBL meeting Wednesday at 8pm" was probably for the "Professional Dart Board League". |
Re: 2005
Well, Scott V, we seemed to miss the point that Pacific Northwest riders are the fastest. Given the short season we have, we make the most of it. There is no arguing that point! ha ha ha.

I recently saw a piece done by a travel show on Washington and Oregon. The host got to ride with a group of bikers out on one of their rare ride days. They were going really fast to get done before the rain started again. BTW just how is the riding there? Oregon and Washington are on my list of possible relocals (is that a word?). |
Re: 2005
Yes. It rains...frequently....but all that water makes for a lush environment. Plus, we have spectacular summers. Never too hot, rarely above 90F. The roads are great, I live in the burbs east of Seattle and have quick access to some fantastic mountain roads that go up and over the Cascades. Plus, once you get over the mountains it is High Desert and usually sunny and dry most of the year. I grew up in SoCali and have lived all over the west side of the States and I would never live anywhere else now that I am here. Quick access to Canada too, only a 2 hr ride to Vancouver. I am only 1.5 hrs from a spectacular ski resort too, so I get my winter boarding in. I do miss the warm ocean though, surfing in a 5/4mm wetsuit gets old. But then, thats what vacations in Latin America are for!

Re: 2005
I often here how it rains there and is cold most of the time. But folks don't seem to mind. Am I missing something?
|
Re: 2005
Its really never "cold". I have never seen it dip below freezing for more than two days. I would say a winter average is 40 or so and a summer average of 80 or so. Oh and btw, Kauai got more rain last month than we have ever gotten in an entire year.
|
Re: 2005
The rain has been VERY bad this year. We have had continual flash floods and land slides, not to mention all the people killed when the dam in Kuai broke. Most rain ever recorded here.
I hope to visit Oregon in June to do some reconnaissance. I'm currently checking the job and housing situation there and North Carolina. |

Re: 2005
Absolutely not! I am proof that the best demolishers are the inexperienced ones! :D I can honestly say, all of my explosives experience comes without any training whatsoever.

Re: 2005
Dark colors absorb radar waves from police so they don't get a signal.
More pics of 2005s and better size like 1024x1280? |
