Hi i'll take some more shots of the mirror and send them to you
With positioning ,I attached the hawk base plate to fairing
And held the mirror to where I wanted it ,and my mate tacked it on.
This way it wasnt permanent, and when I was happy with it
I took it all off and he finished tigging it.
Also cover your fairing from the sparks
But your mate might have a better idea than me in doing it
Also it pays not to drink cans of jack Daniels when doing this job
    Give us a few days

    Hi mate
After trying different ways of attaching gixxer mirrors to the hawk
I ended up taking the btm gixxer base plate off ,and tig weld the stem of the gixxer mirror onto the hawk base plate.
But position mirror before welding, only down fall is you cant move the stem
But their is enough play with the mirror to adjust
Im 5'11 with broad shoulders and I dont have to tuck elbows in to see behind
Also before welding remove wiring to indicators ,due to the heat from the tig, will melt it.Purchased my mirrors from (factory kiss ) a chinese company.
Can send a picture if you want.

    cheers
