lower fairings

who is selling lower fairings, and do you folks normally run them, or just leave 'em off for easy access for oil service ? My bike has a Jardine exhaust,that has melted the lower somewhat on the bottom. I may just leave it off... ? I need to get this bike streetable ASAP...thanx for any input !

The stock lower has no real function other than astetical... Not needed for being "streetable"... But it looks nice...;)

Is there anywhere on Gods creation to get either aftermarket or stock fairings for the VTR1000 in the USA? Other than paying close to 1000-2000 for a complete new set?
