clutch line close to rad

I just installed new ss brake and clutch lines on my vtr. the clutch line seems a bit close to the radiator. I ran it in the same place as the oem line. the oem line is solid steel where it is close to the rad. the ss has plastic inside and I am concerned about heat damage to it. how close is too close?

I ran my SS clutch line on the same path 5 years and 21000 mile ago with no problems. I figured if the radiator gets hot enough to melt the Teflon liner inside the stainless braid the flames would have already caught my leathers on fire. LOL

If it concerns you, get some high temp wrap and cover it. Always a good idea to keep the fluid from getting excess heat exposure. They even sell the heat barrier in tube style pieces.

thanks for the ideas. I am not overly concerned but thought I would check.

I also figure the airflow through the rad is away from the clutch line so the heat would be usually drawn away. leaving the bike parked and idling would prob be the worse case scenario, and even then unlikely to cause problems.
