I have an earlier version which works just fine. You need to install some restrictors in the tubes. Don't know why it doesn't come already done. Guess they like Ikea.

I made my own with some small hose, gear oil and a few pieces of wood. It's a little micky mouse but does what I need it to do. I read about how to do it somewhere online. It might have been here, or maybe Hawkrider's site, or somewhere else entirely. I don't remember. My point is that one can be made for about zero dollars.

I made one like this and it worked fine. I got bubbles in the oil after putting it in the tube - a long piece of wire running down into the oil will allow the bubbles to escape. Pull the wire out and you're ready to go.

I ordered the Carbtune tool last winter. The purchase went smoothly, it arrived in a reasonable time (about a week and a half, I think) and it works quite well. The restrictors are included.

If I'm remembering correctly, the restrictors need to be placed a few inches down the vacuum line, so having you do it lets you get the best setup for your bike. When you order the tool get yourself a vacuum line connector to install and leave in the front cylinder, either from Honda or MotionPro. It'll make the next carb synch go quicker.

Since you are in San Diego go over to Marshals Industrial hardware and get some vacuum gauges, and all the other plumbing to hook them up.
I made a remote set of ports for my gauges to plug into, mounted them under the seat. It works great.

This is pretty similar to what I made. I don't see the need for the yard stick stick. You just need to look at the two columns in relation to each other. I just used a 2x4.
