Anyone want to suggest SC/NC/GA routes?

I'll be in Fair Play, SC (I85 border of GA) in a few weeks, close to NC, TN and GA. Anyone know of any good secrets to check out. I've done the gap, hwy 64 thru Cashiers, and Asheville area pretty extensively. I'd love to find some good stuff in the SC, north GA area.

BTW, if anyone wants to meet up and show me around, that'd be cool too. I'll be up May 22-25.

This has become our standard weekend ride . The north GA loop . Its a decent ride with some tight corners and some elevation changes . Not too far from the area your staying in . http://www.deadzonevideo.com/Map/loop.htm Also check out the rest of his site with some other not so known roads up there . http://www.deadzonevideo.com/roads.htm

Good stuff, thanks. I think I remember this route from Rider a few months ago, but I've never tried it. Can't wait to get out of the flatlands...

Did you ride the Loop already ? Its no Dragon Tail but its still pretty fun ! The best way in my opinion is clockwise starting from Dahlonega head North on 60 to Suches( uphill nice twisties) , And in Suches take a right on 180 towards Vogel State Park ( this section it gets a little tighter kinda Dragon like only narrower ) once you get to Vogel take a right on 129 .Its back to a wide uphill for a couple of miles till you get to Hikers cabin at the top of Blood Mountain . Then Head down the Blood Mountain ( This is where it gets fun !) A lot of on/off camber 3rd & 4th gear sweepers watch your speed ( they are easy to overun on the downhill ) when you get to the bottom you see 19S take a right (or head back up the mountain like we usually do) 19 s will run you back to 60 north or south ( This completes the loop ) depending on traffic & LEOs the loop it usually takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hrs to do . We usually go once clockwise & turn around at the bottom of Blood Mountain and go Counter clockwise . Its a fun ride try it out.

Thanks again...I haven't done the loop yet. I'm going up in about 10 days. The loop is definately on the agenda. Figured I'll ride over to Helen for lunch, then do the loop after.

Maybe I'll do 64 through Cashiers to Franklin the other day. I remember that being pretty good.
