SuperHawk Forum - 7 Nov Arroyo Seco (Deming NM) Trackday. Who's in?

Not sure this goes here or in 'general' but here goes: This is tentative at this point, mostly due to timing. I've got to check all the calendars at work tomorrow, but I thought I'd go ahead and throw this one out there.

Basic plan:

Load the truck on the evening of the 6th and get a good night's rest. We've got a spare bedroom, a couch, and a la-z-boy, plus plenty of floor-space for anybody who wants to load up ahead of time and crash here. I'll be bringing the generator, air compressor, front/rear stands, loaded cooler, and the big toolbox, so we should be pretty well set up. The trailer serves really well as a spot out of the sun/wind if it's windy, and if it's not I've also got the ez-up awning.

Get up EARLY and drive to Deming. Google maps shows 216 miles from my house to the track, so if we leave by 0400 it should be under 3 hours at the speed limit. Getting in by 0700 gives us plenty of time to get unloaded, set up, and caffeinated so as to be coherent by the time enough folks are ready to do the rider's meeting. Last time IIRC that was around 0830 or so.

It's a non-race weekend, so it should be fairly relaxed, and the track should run 'open', meaning everybody runs at once. There generally aren't lots and lots of people there on non-race weekends, so this means you might be on the track with a really, really fast dude or two, but I personally prefer that to a bunch of beginner/superstreet/intermediate guys all trying to go fast in their 15-minute window. Just my personal opinion.
