wheelies.

Not really any questions just bored. I see quite a few guys talking about 2nd gear wheelies and i have yet to achieve one. Clutch dumps seem to just bring it up a little but it wont stay:( As soon as i move and have a garage finally its time to get some work done on it!!!:evillaugh: 2nd gear wheelies will be mine. Oh yes, will be mine..........

Sync the carbs, adjust the TPS, make sure the chain is correctly tightened, twist the throttle.

Re gear. Mine comes up in second if I just snap the throttle hard. Lol

I plan on those adjustments but soon i will be hunting for aftermarket cans and doing the valves so i am going to wait and hit it all at once. Thanks for the advice though.

Run 2nd gear to ~7000-8000 RPM, then back off and re-apply throttle. This is a "power wheelie", I think it is easier and safer than the clutch dump method.
My SH is stock except for Helibars and it wheelies fairly easily, you shouldn't need performance mods.

Clutch wheelies are way safer than power wheelies. I suggest you get on a dirt bike or supermoto and practice if you can. The hawk will clutch up in second with about 2000 rpm above where ever you are. I like to clutch up about 4000 rpm by slipping it to 6000rpm. Once it is up, you need to roll off the throttle very little. This is what takes practice. It really is feel. There are guys who can clutch up goldwings. Our bikes are wheelie monsters and will do third gear clutch wheelies easily in the right hands. Power wheelies take longer to get in the air and you are in need of a gear change very early but they do feel cooler as you are on the power.

I know I can throttle up 2nd gear stand up wheelies and my brother says he bounces 3rd gear stand up wheelies at highway speeds really easy. I haven't really tried 2nd gear sit down wheelies.
