What is the better deal?

I am looking at two SH's, hoping to buy one in a week. One is a 2002 with 15,000 miles and the asking price is $5300. The other is a 1998 with 5,000 miles and the asking price is $4400. They both have Jardine high pipes on and they are both red. What is the better value/buy?

Thanks,

The one that is in better shape.

No offense to the sellers (if they're members here on SHF), but a NEW Superhawk (granted, 2003-2004 model, but still NEW) can be had for less than $6000. If you're willing to pay $5300, then what's a few hundred more for one with a warranty and is brand new?

Yeah, I agree with the new thing, of course then it is bone stock and you'll have to spend bucks from there....on the 98' for $4400 if it is super clean, and has any other mods....you might be able to talk them down some....I bought my 99' back in Nov with 5060 miles and several mods for $3100...it was super clean, garage kept etc.....not that you will find deals like that all the time....compare the bike to ones being sold on Ebay that are similar....
that's my .02 worth.....good luck...
