Make sure to report back what kind of wear and mileage you get from them.

Tweety 08-13-2010 05:42 AM

Ohhh... Party shoes... ;)

skoshere 08-13-2010 07:00 AM

I have a set sitting in my garage... Can't wait to put them on

RWhisen 08-13-2010 08:51 AM

I just put on Pirelli Corsa IIIs and liked them when I rode it. I am off my bike for a while while my knee heals up from surgery though.

I have them on my bike now, but didn't weigh them before I mounted them. Anyone care to weight them for me?

Time to dance!

I like em. The fronts wear somewhat oddly since there is much more of the softer compound.

But yeah, they will offer more grip on the street than a most people will be able to use.

dickard37 08-24-2010 02:46 PM

man this is KILLIN' me!!! I'm right in the middle of moving and still haven't had time to mount these baby's and try 'em out....... AAARRRRGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

on a side note: i changed my avatar lmao

RWhisen 08-24-2010 03:11 PM

Good job on the avatar. Sucks about your tires....

Ok! I got my POWER PURES mounted today and took her for a ride to Lake Hemet which is up Idyllwild Mountain and let me just say that these tires are frickin' AWESOME!!!!! They are super sticky in the twisties and feel incredible. I never once had any type of issue with them. I seriously LOVE these tires!!!!!! Not to mention that they look really good on the Hawk too

I just spooned on some new Q2's. Theres no better feeling than fresh shoes. :)

Tip-in on the Q2's is much faster than the old qualifiers I had on, but I'm thinking these are gonna burn up fast.

I had Q2's immediately previous to these, and they stuck well in the twisties and yielded about 4500miles before threads, but the Power Pures are a whole different dimension relative to riding and feel. 14.8lbs(Q2 rear) vs 12.5(180x55 Power Pure rear according to bathroom scale) is likely responsible for much improvement, but soft and smooth where rubber meets the road(note:@ 30psi cold) improves suspension quality and the way the front and rear cooperate at lean is nothing short of amazing.

If you do decide on the Michelins' next, it will be interesting to see if your perceptions parallel mine.
