VTX 1300

I just bought a 2004 VTX 1300 today, got an awesome deal on it. Needs to be detailed badly but otherwise in great shape. Came with 2 seats and an extra set of fenders so I can change the look from the 1300C to 1300R. That being said I am working hard on convincing the wife that there is no need for me to sell the SH, I can keep both bikes (esp since I paid cash for both). But so far she is resistant. I might just post it on CL and magically never get any bites for say the next 3-5 years...anyway I will post pics of the VTX as soon as it stops raining down here.

Craigslist sounds like a good idea. List it for about $8k and then wonder why it won't sell ;) Try to act like it's no fun to ride in the meanwhile...

And if someone does pay 8K, sell it, buy another for 4K and tell her you sold it for 4K

maybe I will do that, hell I might even drop it to $6k, I could still buy a decent SH with the extra dough.

Mattaua,
I had a 04 and now have a 07 1300. Great bike, you'll love it for those extra long rides. I just did a 7500 mile trip out west and back with mine. If you come up to NC sometime give me a holler. (on either bike) PS, wife likes the VTX but not crazy about the SH

KEEP the SH!!!!! If you are the same type of rider as me, you'll find the cruiser fine for laid-back riding, but there are times that you just have the need to carve the curves. While the 1300 is a fine bike, it does NOT have the clearance to have that kind of fun! That's the reason I have more than one. :)

yeah, I have discovered the clearance issue already. I've scraped the under side of the floorboards several times.
