Very sad Email
Remember my friend with the 999r at the Cresson Race Track ? I posted a pic of him with me and Bill earlier this year. I was asking him if he was going to the Texas World Speedway Track Day, and this was his response:
I guess you don’t read the FWMRC boards, I went down at MSR in Houston on turn 1, along with a bunch of others. No broken bones, just sore for a couple of weeks, the suit saved me. One RS instructor totaled his bike. They are replacing anything with scuffs so most plastics, levers, tank, front wheel will be new… $16,000 worth of damages, insurance is covering it, so the 999r goes into my living room as decoration when I get her back so she stays looking pretty. -Jose |
 I don't know what's worse, the fact that he crashed or that he's turning that beautiful machine into a museum piece.
|
All I know is my Superhawk and my SV1000 could both get hit by a freight train and I would still not do $16,000 worth of damage...
|
 Right! kinda doesn't make you feel so bad for him.

Re: Very sad Email
That is another reason I bought a used bike, even with the few things I have done to it, if it is totaled then I am out maybe $3500. and no payments....but that sucks for him, wouldn't wish that on anyone....

Re: Very sad Email
wow it's costing him 16,000 to fix that. I was at that track day. in fact I was three bikes back when he went down we helped him put the bike on his trailer. it was all cosmetic stuff.... 16,000 to fix I'm never getting a duc!!!!!!   but he's right about turn one it a hard one to jugde, you want to kick it up an extra gear but it leaves you runnign to much spped into the corner. I just ended up spending 2 second in the red rather then go in to hot
