thinking of selling

Hello all. I'm considering selling my '01 Superhawk. I was wondering what everyone thought of the sell. I have a superbike bar conversion, moriwaki carbon fiber belly pan, 6 pot front calipers, and a few other upgrades.

If I sell, do you think its worth it to switch back to the stock clip ons and calipers? I don't think it will effect the sale price much unless the buyer knows what they're looking at. I could also sell the belly pan separately. Thoughts???

I still don't know how much to ask for it, but I was thinking north of $4k. Thanks for the help!

U'll regret it!

Every former SuperHawk owner does....

Lastly, unless its low miles and in Perfect condition - no dents, etc., I think U'll be hard pressed to get better than $3500.

Most Motos don't hold there value.

The only downside to putting the OEM stuff back on is that it takes time to do so. Oh, and you could always break something in the process ;).

You could list at $4K which is craigslist speak for $3500 OBO.

I've seen some on cycle trader going for $4200 and up, but you're right, they don't hold their value much.

I don't think I'd regret it much, I have 3 other motorcycles I'm building. Plus I'm a bit scared of the power this bike has, I'm used to smaller cruisers and vintage 4 cylinders.

So what are the thoughts for parting some of the upgrades out vs leaving them on? If I can only get 3500 for it with or without the extras, I might as well sell those for extra cash...

Yep, it's worth it to part out if it's worth your time. Usually when I'm selling something I've no interest in mods. Just clean 'er up and be done with it!

Oh and if you do sell it goes without saying that the inherent loss suffered is far to great to handle by one person in one day, so prep with a dusty fifth of jack and enough Willie Nelson songs to last you through the night.

Yes, I always get emotional thinking about selling a bike! But I've just never had a connection to this one like I've had in the past. I like to bring em back to life and this one has been perfect since day one for the most part!

Ok, part out it is. I'd rather maximize profits by selling things to you guys than not spending the time to take em off.

So for anyone interested, I'd likely be selling the gsxr front brake caliper kit, the carbon belly pan, wave rear rotor, lsl super bike bar kit, and others.
