TBR high mount custom fit

I have a TBR C4 standard mount full system on my hawk. I wanted the highmount but I had to keep the pillon pegs for my girlfriend. Now Ive been looking at all these pics of the highmount systems and like the look alot better. So here are my choices, send the girlfrind packing  or try to custom fit the high mounts. And since I cant get rid of the girl. Has anyone done this? Any info would be helpful. Also can some of you guys take some closeup pics of their mounts that keep thier pegs. thanx

I kept both. I fitted the high mounts and kept my rear pegs via linger bolts and spacers. Not too difficult to do.

Sorry no pics but go to your local home store and check the metal hardware section. There you'll fine square aluminium tubing (1/4, 3/8 inch?) that will almost match the subframe perfectly. Cut it to length and use longer metric bolts (again from the hardware store a couple of isles over). I think mine were approx. 3.5 inches long or so.

Good to hear. Now all I have to do is find someone to sell me the mid pipes and hardware without having to buy a whole new system. Any suggestions??

MMm, these are gonna be pretty hard to find. Did you call TBR? They probably want a small fortune for the bends. Give em a call and check, you might get lucky.

Yeah I figure it will be difficult. I have a few emails flying around a few different vendors. I will have to wait till Monday to get in touch with TBR. They have bankers hours.. I should have gotten the high mount in the begining. O well thrill of the hunt.

I got my mid-pipes right from TBR - no problem, unlike the US distributer for Micron where nothing fit.

I had checked with TBR about doing the same thing... and was shocked at the amount they wanted for the "S" bends. I can't remember the exact cost, just that they were very expensive.

A short time later my SH was rear-ended (damaging the exhaust). I took the insurance money and bought Stai-n-tune's instead :).

Just as an FYI, TBR has stuff available that they don't list in their catalogs (like replacement cans, brackets and quiet tips)
