Tank Bag
 

What is the best magnetic tank bag for the hawk? I was looking at the Icon Primer but it might be too small and I would like something with the map pocket. Does anyone have the Scoyco bag sold on e-bay?

I've been looking at the Cortech 14L. I tried it on the bike at one of the local shops. Not a bad fit. About $120.

I use a Bikemaster tank bag II for my commutes to work and back. I picked it up barely used from a friend at work for $20!! Works/fits great and hasn't scratched my finish from what I can tell. Expandable and even in its lowest height it holds a CRAPLOAD of stuff. Also has the clear map pocket on top. Safety reflective 3M piping on the side. I'd recommend it and it doesn't look bad on the bike IMHO.

This is the same bag but the image of it is with the bag FULLY EXPANDED and loaded up. It does not normally look this big unless you're packing for a weekend LOL. http://www.bikebandit.com/product/5100. Fuly loaded it would probably block the gauges some. Otherwise moderately loaded I've never ran into an issue seeing the gauges or having full lock-to-lock steering.

I've got the Cortech Super-Mini with the map pocket flap and its a great fit on the SH tank. On the smaller side, but holds everything I need for a day outing and the small map pocket works well.

I've got a Cortech magnetic that I bought from a friend several years ago. It didn't work on his Harley. It works great for me. I don't know the model name, but its rectangular 12"x9"x5"high plus its expandable.
We're trying to get a Super Mini magnetic for my wife's SV, but its on back order.

Looked it up on tourmaster.com....mine is a Cortech Mini magnetic.

Best bag I have used yet (have gone through 3 of them) is an Oxford Expandable Tank Bag (http://www.oxprod.com/index.php?pg=3...id=47&pid=6&p=).

42 Liters it is one of the biggest out there, build quality is great, life time guarantee and sadly it is expensive ($129.00). If you want an awesome one piece luggage set for your biking needs then I suggest this bag. If you just want something to throw little things in then get a different bag (oxford makes a first time line for considerably less).

Any chance to fit a laptop in any of these tank bags?

One of the smaller laptops like a 15" or so would probably fit in my bag, expanded of course. I'd be more worried about vibration or hitting a big bump and possibly hurting the laptop though. Then again I have ridden mine packed out with all of my camera gear so go figure LOL.
