Swingarm/Frt Fork stand?
 

Hello,

Just bought my first Hawk ( 05') and I would appreciate a reccomendation on a good swingarm stand that could double as a fork stand for my Superhawk. Kinda tough to do any maintenance without one! Are all stands created equal?

Kinda hard to use a front wheel stand without a rear wheel stand. I've been using an LP rear wheel stand. I hear that the LP front stands are crap.

Makes perfect sense. I found some plans posted on another thread, but, being as I need them sooner rather than later, will probably end up having to purchase one brand or another. (Both front and rear).

I got a pair of T-Rex stands when I ordered my frame sliders; the pair of stands was around $110 (which you can pay for a single front or rear) and they seem to be decently built. Pitbull stands have a loyal following, but they're pricey - sorta the Snap-On of the stand industry.

i have a circuit one rear stand & pitbull front. i love the weighted front fork holder on the pitbull, no fussing around getting the pegs correct.
my bike is always on the stands unless i'm riding it so i went top of the line.

i've seen some pretty cheap stands ... you get what you pay for.

I have LP front and rear... I'd suggest buying the "under the triple" front stand... allows fork work to be done, and seem much more stable than the ones that just lift under the fork legs.

i have a set of trex's and they work fine. i had the triple tree front adapter but it rubs my front fairing (annoying)

personally, if i had to do it over, i'd keep my out on CL for a set of used pitbulls, then buy the correct pin later. i've used the pitbulls and theyre bloody solid--single piece construction.

Harbor freight has them for $38.00. I just got mine today, works good. You will also need to get the fork adaptors from them.

oh i heard the harborfreight rear stands are pretty solid, and they look pretty awesome too. forgot about those.

Very nice guys. Sounds like I have some research to do now. All great suggestions. And yes, I agree you typically get what you pay for when buying new. I'll check them out per your recomendations. Maybe something on CL here in Seattle.
