Superhawk old seats
 

Wow, so you blink and suddenly old cheap vtr seats are super expensive.

Was looking for a backup seat for cheap but things sure have changed. I had bolted a givi plate to the seat on my single sided swingarm bike just to carry stuff to work if I took that bike so wanted another seat to swap on but the ebay prices seem like they think they are selling collectors gold rather than an old seat!

Haven't been on there looking at VTR parts in a few years. Can't say it surprises me to read that though. If I happen to see one, I'll share it here so keep us posted if you do buy one.

The funny thing is I think I have one in my garage somewhere since my daily bike has a corbin seat so I must have a spare somewhere

Joe, there's a newly listed seat on eBay, starting at $10. Looks like it may be intact, just dirty. You get a bonus red cowl with all the tabs.

Depends on how nice of ya seat you want. If you go on the book of faces and punch in Sidney, British Columbia as location, search for VTR seat, you'll see a really nice one with platinum cowl for $50 Can. With shipping ya can probably get it at your door for $70 US. Ask him.

Yeah, it’s wild how prices have shot up, stuff that used to be cheap and everywhere is suddenly “rare.” Might be worth checking local bike forums or Facebook Marketplace, sometimes you can still score a deal from someone who’s just clearing out.

Coincidentally, as my health permits but hopefully soon I will be posting up on the forum a very large and extensive cache of parts for sale. This will include as many as 2 complete engines, a frame and swing arm, several carburetors, airboxes, complete wiring looms, black boxes, a 5.2 gallon fuel tank (Italian Red of ciurse), and much more...

Furthermore, I will also be selling my backup 98 VTR1000F, so if anyone is interested, hit me up quick!

If I don't get enough realistic responses from our inmates, I will then have to list on FM, something I will dread doing...

I have my OEM in a bag in the original Sargent saddle box. I've moded the Sargent 3 times since.
The Sargents Super Cell Atomic Foam has gotten harder under the Temperfoam I added over it likely in 95, but until I can ride it consistently again, it's fine. It contours to my derriere like a proverbial glove, warmly cupping my buns, with the ball gutter I indentured allowing my 70 year old jewel sack to relax without fear...

Shoot have not been back here til now. I didnt even see the cheap seat auction info til now. UGG. I will reach out to "V" I guess the name is? I have been swamped at work and dirtbiking every chance I get with my now 11yr old son. I am wrenching like every waking moment on the trusty 2002 astro that carries my bikes. My new job starts at 4am so I get to use my dual projector beam headlight every day to daylight.
My only other superhawk mod is a new Givi maxia v56 top case. I bought it with no key (big discount) and had to kinda rebuld it. a bit and put LED neon brake and tail lights on it. (I gotsta be seen)
