superblings superbike bars... anyone done the mod and have pics???

i'm looking to do this (possibly) i'd like to see some pics and get some feedback on how others like the mod. PICS will help a ton! also where did you get parts from?

thanks in advance

I did it - very simple.

I went with some ebay mounts for a CRF 125/250/450 for fat bars, drilled the upper triple, made new bolts (as they are too long as supplied and they aren't yer average bolt) and then backed them up with a large rubber bushing to equally distribute the clamping load. I used Pro-Taper ATV High bend bars, and I am cutting off all of the fairing upwards/aft from the mirror mounts (and some of the windscreen) to clear the BarkBusters, and the clutch and brake M/C.

I had to extend the clutch and brake lines extensively (clutch by 5", brakes by like 7"), and re-route the electrical and throttle cables - but I have also dropped the forks in the tripples by 1.65", so that accounts for a good deal of the need for the extension on the brake side.

I'll take some pics tonight and post in this thread.

thanks for the response icepick!

Not yet. The fairings will be lopped off just past the mirror stays - a fairly radical trimming - and the windscreen will either be trimmed extensively or a pretty serious flip-up will have to be found or fabricated. I'm hoping to find one for the 'hawk, like the MRA I have for the BlackBird.

Note from the pics that this could not have been done without dropping the forks in the triples. In my case, this is exactly what I wanted to do; if one wanted to leave the forks where they are, a larger/higher riser (and lower bend bars) would have to be used to clear the portion of the fork tubes that extend above the upper triple clamp.

Okay, a couple of more pics with the rashed and partially modified fairings/windscreen at:
