Stomp grips or Gripster pads

Has anyone found a precut pad that fits the side of the SH well? I have stompgrips on all my other bikes and I miss them on my SH.

I've got the universal black Stompgrip on mine and I think they might have used a Superhawk to design it.

I love them!

tech spec sheets come with a pattern you cut yourself. i got the clear 'ice' version... i just bought them so no reviews other than a friend has them, i need to wait 'til warmer weather as they need to be hot to apply.

it came in a pack with 4 sheets so you have plenty to work with.

That Techspec stuff looks good. I may try it on the VFR. Seems like you could get a sheet of that material somewhere and do it yourself for much cheaper though. I'll have to look around. Was thinking about getting some regular grip tape for steps and what not from the hardware store. Wonder how I could score a sheet of it. Thanks!

if you can find one, try a skateboard shop. they always have griptape.

I tried the first TecSpec "Lazer etched" material after cutting my own pattern, it was not very grippy and was discontinued. I complained and sent them my VTR pattern and they sent me no charge a new set cut to my pattern (but also beveled the perimeter edges) using their "diamond tread" material which is much better but not as aggressive a profile than the StompGrip "pyramid" material; which some people think is too abrasive. TecSpec now has my VTR pattern (if you ask) but want big dollars now for it ($50???).

Gripping the tank with your knees, which is difficult to remember to do until it becomes second nature under braking, definately takes the load off your wrists and back.
