Stainless steel front brake line routing after disassembly
Apparently I forgot more than I thought in the past three months of having the bike apart. Can anyone help me with how to best route my pair of stainless steel brake lines from the master cylinder down to the calipers?
I cannot remember whether I had the pair of brake lines running in front of the right fork tube, then between the tube and the frame on its way down, or something different... James |
If the lines are stock length and you have stock height bars, just look in the service manual for line routing.
If anything is modified, start with that same path, but move them as needed to fit. My longer then stock lines and Apex 3 inch riser bars in non OEM position with Brembo MC go from MC around the outside of the right fork tube and then split about the lower triple clamp to each caliper. I use a rubber coated clamp bolted to the lower triple to hole the line in place. |
Thank you! Got it sorted!
