speedo healer with no gear or tire changes
im not regearing until after winter but i wouldnt mind putting the speedohealer on now and just running it with the stock setup and then next year recalibrating it. the website says with no settings being changed to set it to -5.2%. does this seem right to you guys? i know the factory speedo is off but it almost seems like it shouldnt be adjusted that much. or are all bike speedos off by this much in general? also does someone have a link to the install of the speedo healer on our bikes, i used the search function but i think im search tarded and just cant make it work. thanks

just found a writeup for it through here for the sh. but i just wanna make sure that -5.2% is the correct setting for the stock gear and tire setup.

Yes, its at least that much off. Mine reads 70mph when I am actually doing about 60 so thats more than 5% but others may vary. I know my odometer in 6th is 4% optimistic.

Mine was of about 8% from stock... Got real ridiculous when I swapped gearing... So yeah... It's probably about right for a ballpark figure without measuring...
|
mine was right around 8% also

use a gps to find your actual speed, im sure every bike is slightly different

I've got a gps but its an older one and a little bulky. I haven't been though the manual yet but I hear there's some sort of time based calculation that can be done. Seems like all the vtrs are a little different. The funny thing about the healer is that when you do the recall your odometer continues to roll. Lol.
