Replacing front brake lever

I just ordered one from the local cycle shop for a whopping 8 bucks to replace my current broke one (End snapped off). I was just wondering if there is anything out of the norm to look out for? It looks like a 2 min job but again that's how all jobs start out. Is the seal going to blow out of the M/C if I don't have something to hold it in? All I can envision it is like using the brakes on a car with drum brakes but no drum installed, and having quite the show! You would think being ASE certified in brakes and working on cars all day would leave me with more confidence, but bikes are a completely different world to me and I really don't want to have my brake lever fall off! Thanks as always.

Unscrew the nut holding the lever, pull out the old lever. Installation is the reverse order. Be sure the lever is pressing on the brake switch correctly.

Also lube the pivot point preferably with lithium grease but anything is better than nothing. While you're at it, clean and lube the clutch lever too.

Thanks for the reminder and replies guys. It looked easy enough but I decided to double check since it's an essential part. :-D
