RC51 Rad Relocate Kit

No idea if it would work with the SH. I don't even know how I just found it.

Sort of a neat looking machine.

See the big A with a color band under it in the editor above? Just select your text and choose black.

Why not just find a single, bigger radiator from a different bike?

uchi 08-03-2010 01:54 PM

i know a guy who builds custom rads for cars, high hp cars for like 400 bucks. i bet a rad for a bike would be much cheaper. if that price is infact 2 grand only a complete idiot would buy it.

No one out there as a BIZ is going to be making this package

Delivery content: Radiator upper,Radiator lower (left side) ,Oilcooler ( right side) ,upper Radiator bottom mounting Spot Bracket, side Radiator lower mounting spot bracket, machined Alumium Fittings for Oilcooler ,2 x 90 ° and 2 x Big-Ball Straight , (optional : assembled, depends on Exhaust-System),Aluminum connecting- tubes 1" for upper and lower Radiator, carbon Bracket for upper mounting Spot of Oilcooler.

For $400 and it be worth actually using..
Custom work means time, and materials, which means money.

If there are patterns and jigs, assembly aids and materials on hand for that package, then the price can drop once the R&D is recovered, otherwise, your paying for a lot of one off time and effort.. That maybe 3 or 4 people I've seen on this list have the ability to produce in house.

Do I want that set up? Nope, is it worth the money or time for me to build it or buy it? Nope.

But if you want it, dont have the ability to build it, and have the money.. then it's worth the cost..

Yeah, he doesn't show the left side of the bike with that weird long rad. Still a pretty neat site and the dude is a genuine mad genius.

One big rad gets beatened up as the bike bounces around, Nick. People have used CBR radiators and cut them down, but I’m just not sure. Using a single SH one seems to work, but of course the bike would run at a boil set up that way.

I think it was the R1 that had a rad that hugs the bike. That might work, I guess.
