price question on an rc51
 

Since my hawk made me fall in love with twins so much, I am thinking of replacing my second bike with an RC51 (getting my hawk a bf ;))

I found an rc51 that sat on the showroom floor for 2 years. It is an 05 with 6007 miles. No damage. They are asking $6500, but I think it is way too high.

What would be a decent negotiating price? I was thinking somewhere in the $5000 range. Am I thinking too low?

hahaha, i did something similar. i had five gixxers from 97-05. saw a hawk for gf for $3200 and bought it. a few months later i bought the rc51 and let the gixxer go.

6000 miles is nothing! 05 is almost as new as you're gonna get. $5000 might be low but i don't know for sure. mine is an 01, 12500kms, paid $5800cad. i consider that a good deal.

From what I've seen $6,500 for a 2005 RC51 with low miles is a great deal. If you can beat him up on price that is just more icing on the cake. Good luck!
