Pirelli Diablo tires lower the bike?
I had Diablo (standard, not Corsa) put on yesterday and now the bike leans over quite a bit when I put out the kickstand. Suggestions as to why? Same tire size (so I thought). Is Pirelli's standard measurement off?

What was your previous tire? Some manufacturers have steeper profiles, even if they are listed as the same size (ie, 180/55-17).

i put in a set of diablo's and they are a shorter tire, there is more gap between the fender and tire in the front, and my speedo is off by more now then when it hah a 208 on the back

If it leans over more on the sidestand, that means the tire profile is TALLER, not shorter. Think about the fact that new tires alone change the height at least 1/4" just from the fact that there is tread there now.

Don't worry, it'll turn in quicker too. Thing with new tires is to treat it like you're riding a completely different bike, because each tire will give the bike a different handling characteristic. Some may go as far as tweaking the suspension settings.

Ok that just sounds CRAZY that your speedo is off!!! i dont think that has anything at all to do with pirelli |
how so, the tire is a little shorter than the 208, so at 80mph actual the bike will have to turn more rpm, thus making the speedo off a little more
with the newer 208 it was 4mph off, with the diablo its 6mph off |
if you say so....just thought you were being a little picky for an excellent tire overall.
