Bought a 2010 Ducati Streetfighter on Jun 24th...I was all set to buy a 2009 Speed Triple when my son and I happened into the local Honda/Yamaha/Ducati/BMW dealership and saw the Duc on the showroom floor, it was love a first sight and I couldn't resist...:D

It's been a love hate relationship ever since, because all new Ducatis with Euro 3 emissions run like a Superhawk in need of a jet kit at low rpms......it's like falling in love with a beautiful woman, only to find out later that she has herpes...

:cool:Congrats on the new bike!

I'm sure a power commander with a good map is all you will need to get rid of her herpes. :)

In the meantime, use a condom and post up some pics of that sweet bike!

pictures to follow, gotta wait for my grand daughter to come over and give me a hand loading them up...

That Streetfighter looks to be a great bike - looking forward to your feedback.

It's a real little place. I can understand how you get bored. A new ride is a good thing. New pix will be great when you get them up. You can still hang with us. Once you are a V-Twin rider - well, it's paint on the wall. Congrats on the new bike!

Congrats Oahu, put one of those Italian exhaust systems, that I can't pronounce, on it and have the dealer set up the EFI. ;)

Thanks guys, here's a couple of pix...

This thing is an animal with gobs of horsepower...still breaking it in so I haven't taken her over 7k rpms, and in fact may never see the redline here in Hawaii.

Due to Euro 3 emissions throttle response is very imprecise under 4k rpm and can be somewhat like an on/off switch...this can make for unnerving exits from slow speed turns and is a real pain in the ass in commuter traffic...over 4k, give her the gas and hang on, yeehaw!

Riding position is somewhat upright with enough lean to put some weight over the front wheel, just right for this 6'3" geezer...wind blast takes some getting used to after riding faired bikes for the last 18 or so years.

Front Brembos are the epitome of one finger breaking.

Overall, a great Italian steed...I just need the Ducati Performance slipons/ecu/filter package and she should be near perfect.

I test rode a ZX10R a few weeks ago and agree, the radial brakes are sick!
