NT650 Hawk Bars on VTR?

So my dad has officially sold his BMW and is looking for a new bike. He was set on the Triumph Street Triple but just found an '01 SuperHawk local for $3900. We are going to go check it out tomorrow...but I have a quick question. The guy has installed the NT650 bars on the SH...and I'm wondering if anyone here has done this, and maybe even has some pics.

Thanks,
Zy

BTW - It's yellow, 11k miles, Full SharkSkins bodywork w/ Lower, DB windscreen, CompWerks fender eliminator kit, Clear Alternatives Tail light, Bar End Mirrors, ProGrips, Sargent seat, LP tank bra, M4 pipes, brand new Pilot Powers, and these NT Hawk bars (the main reason my dad is interested in the bike)

I'd like to know if these clear the fairing at full lock. I eyeballed the height difference and it didn't seem to me like they'd work. Most bar risers for the '01 and earlier VFRs don't say they fit VTRs, even though the forks are the same size.

He said that he had to chop the fairing a little and in the pic you can see it....it's not muh but he did have to cut. They look to be higher than the Heli bars and they look to bolt straight on. I just can't tell in the pics. We are going to see the bike today...so hopefully my dad and I will like what we see.

I have VFR bars on mine which I think are higher than the heli's. With the VFR bars on you really need to cut the fairing to reach full lock. I also have a NT650 in my garage with stock bars on it. Just looking at the diffence between the two, the NT650 bars are about twice the height of the VFR bars so you would need to cut away quite a bit of plastic to fit those. Also with the stock master cylinder you won't be able to put the levers down very much with the NT650 bars as they are triangular in shaper up from the fork.
