New Super Hawk

What's up guys and gals! Just got my Super Hawk on Monday. I've got her ripped to hell right now. Re jetting, flush mount turn signals, mirrors, tailight/rear turn signals. Can't wait to get her back on the road again :D. Nothing like that arm wrenching torque .

Welcome to the circus. Hope you can get her back on the road soon.

Welcome. Enjoy.

The superhawk is the single most oddly endearing motorcycle I've ever ridden.

I know there's better bikes. I know that.

For some reason, I keep coming back to the hawk. This is the second one i've owned :-)

I've got a choice of a 180 or 190 main jet. I've got slip on's and and slight modification to the air box (an extra hole). I'm thinking 190 to be safe, any opinions?
Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

Be careful, don't know what you rode before, but the front end on the Hawk gets light real quick ;)

You may want to get a non-modified airbox. These bikes are finicky in that regard.

As for jetting, i forget what I did, but I don't think i messed with the main. I think i searched this site and ended up shimming the stock needles and changing the pilot jet

Welcome!

Look up "Carb Set-up" in the technical discussion section of the Forum. It's a thread done last week by 8541Hawk to address questions such as yours.

If you're going to ride at altitude, you probably don't want to mess with the main jets. And fix that hole in your airbox.

Once I rode a hawk I was hooked. Welcome to the forum. I started doing the "Carb set-up" as well. I would recommend it. There are alot of people on here who know there stuff. If you have any questions just ask.

To the technical section!

I can't wait to get her back out onto the street! My sliders are here, I'm almost done jetting her. Oh boy Oh boy :D

Flush mount Protons for the RC51 fit well and look good. Bright as heck too.
