New Member Introduction
Hello all,
I'm new to the forum. I ride a 98' SH that I purchased used in Jan of '05. I've been tearing down my bike this winter and have been perusing your forum for useful tech stuff (thanks to Greg for the helpfull PAIR removal guide, I removed mine yesterday!). I'm a barley-capable shade tree mechanic and have found many threads helpful and finally decided I should join for ease of research and to maybe contribute. I'm in the midst of a full-on street fighter conversion with some minor cosmetic and engine mods. I have a few questions but think I'll wait for now until I can search existing threads/posts a bit more thoroughly. I started an 'Album' which has some pics of the current state of the bike, I'm not the most web savvy guy but I assume anyone can see it if they want. Anyway, this was just meant as a friendly 'hello'! P.S. Thanks to NAVY8TER for help navagating the site. |
:welcome: Glad you decided to join in on the fun.

I'm new here too and this place rocks for ideas on mods and upgrades, and they are quite helpful when repairs are needed too.

Welcome to the seduction that your GF will learn to hate and your wallet will learn to hurt.
Hint: Trick out your Superhawk and take the pass/pegs off. Go buy a VFR and tell her that you bought it so she can ride with you. |
I should introduce myself as well. I joined a while back and have been on a couple times lurked around a few more. Love the site, lots of great info and awesome Hawks.
I'm in Newfoundland, Canada. Also known as The Rock. I have a 00 "Firestorm"(faster than the Hawks) and its Yellow(faster again). I've had it for a couple years and its basically stock with Genmar risers. Owned several bikes over the last twenty or so years of riding but the Storm is the best so far. Although it loves rear tires for some reason:rolleyes: |
