Hi!

I'm a new active member in this forum, previously I have just read the forum without participation.

I started my motorcycle carrier last year with a Firestorm -99, an orange one. Earlier I have been riding motocross for a couple of years.

I live in Gothenburg, Sweden, but we'll see where i'll end up after finishing my studies. I'm sure I will post some questions and take advantage of the knowledge here during the coming winter since I will be changing the steering stem bearing among other things.

Regards,
David

Welcome to the site... Nice looking Firestorm!

7moore7 11-12-2010 08:39 AM

Whoa! I think you just revealed to me my new favorite color for the Firestorm. Welcome to the forum!

Paint that lower fairing and seat cowel a graphite color and I'll buy it ;)

Welcome-Beautiful bike! I love the orange-if I ever repaint-it will be orange-Mort

lazn 11-12-2010 08:47 AM

Welcome!

There are a few others on here from Sweden too (not me) so you aren't alone.

Old Yeller 11-12-2010 08:48 AM

Welcome. I like the color too. It sure is better than red! :evillaugh:

Welcome... See, I told ya you wouldn't get rid of me!

Well... He already knows me from the Swedish forum, so he's had fair warning that I'm nuts... There are a few more lurking... ;) (Both nut's and Swede's... Sometimes both... ;) )

You know... It could be that he took the best from both... Hmmm...

David86 11-12-2010 02:55 PM

The Swedish forum is great, had a lot of help from Tweety!

But it's always nice with new inputs and new reading :)

1971allchaos 11-12-2010 10:38 PM

What are you saying Tweety? The man Mixing "RED" and the slower "Yellow" to make that pretty orange Swed-machine....

nekkid 11-13-2010 05:13 AM

Valkommen...I thought orange was the color favored by the Dutch?

kmm996 11-13-2010 06:30 AM

Welcome.

David86 11-14-2010 11:12 AM

It's nice with a color that isn't that common :)

I don't have much experience with motors and mechanics, but I hope I will gain some knowledge so I can contribute in the future!

Nice with a forum with VTR riders from all over the world :)

RWhisen 11-14-2010 11:24 AM

Welcome to the forum.

trident00 11-14-2010 11:29 AM

Welcome

NooB 11-14-2010 04:34 PM

:banplz: ...if you don't post more pics of that nice orange. Glad to have you on board.

VTRsurfer 11-14-2010 07:18 PM

Welcome! The orange looks great!

Our local hockey team, the Anaheim Ducks, recently added a Swede as well, Andreas Lilja.

nath981 11-15-2010 04:58 AM

I believe the number of Swedes allowed on the forum has already been exceeded, the limit based mostly on Tweety's aberrant behavior and tendency to wreak havoc with everyone and everything he can. However, having a local member may have its advantages in terms of implementing some sort of constraint on this overseas maniac.

I don't know who did your Storm over, but I like it! Enter it in VTR of the month so we can savor it a bit more. welcome aboard David.

Tweety 11-15-2010 07:24 AM

Hah... You gonna stick the po-po on me eh nath?! ;)

Not going to work, but feel free to try... :rotf:

BTW local? He's almost 300 km away... That's atleast a 2-3 hour drive just to yank my ear... He's welcome though...;)

nath981 11-15-2010 08:23 AM

haha. 2-3 hrs, bullshit! With that super-fast mix of red and yellow, you'll probably only have an hour or so to make your gettaway.

gordthebiker 11-16-2010 02:24 AM

Nice looking bike!
