New Here!
9 Attachment(s)
Hello folks, my name is Aaron. I recently purchased a 1998 Superhawk, from a friend of mine. He referred me here, his name on here is flatlander. I finally took delivery this past weekend. He came out, and we installed some aftermarket CCTs, as I heard all about what can go wrong. Funny he waited to help me install them after I bought them, rather then me help him install them
It has a fair amount of aftermarket parts, enough that I can't remember them all right now  Exhaust, K&N, it was dyno tuned, its got aftermarket turn signals, lower fairing, and an Ohlins rear shock. I'm sure y'all have seen pics before, but here are some more :D Attachment 27001 Attachment 27002 Attachment 27003 Attachment 27004 Attachment 27005 Attachment 27006 Here's some pics of my other toy, its a 1992 Dodge Stealth RT/TT with all the go fast stuff, forged pistons with higher compression, forged crank, bigger turbos, bigger injectors, full exhaust, etc etc. Has replica stock chrome wheels, and a few other tasteful mods. Haven't had it to the track since all the engine modes, but it ran a 13.6 with the stock turbos, and my crappy driving. I'm hoping to get into the low 12's with what I have now. Attachment 27007 Attachment 27008 Attachment 27009 Hope to learn everything I can about the Superhawk, as I plan on having it for a while. |

welcome to the forum.

Welcome.

Welcome and congrats on the new steed.
Oh yeah, GO BLUE!!!!!! |
That exhaust setup is screaming for a single sided swingarm. Welcome.
|
What company /or who manufactures that exhaust system?
|
Welcome to the forum Aaron! You'll find the folks here to be friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. You've got a bulletproof machine now, it's a Honda, so just add gas and enjoy the ride!
And to anyone putting off replacing their CCT's (like I was) just do it. Follow the "how to" in the knowledge base, take your time, be precise, and the operation will go easy. The peace of mind of having manual tensioners in there is priceless. 1971allchaos : The exhaust was made by MIG, I think they are for the rc51 and made to fit the SH by the previous owner. MIG went out of business a few years back though. |

Damn Adam, you beat me by 2 minutes, sheesh.
|
lol, well even though I don't have the Hawk anymore, I'm still a huge Superhawk fan and I'll continue to pop in here now and then. I can't wait to get my next bike and meet up for some epic rides!

Though Indigo is now back in business, so you could always try and contact them to see if they have any plans on making SH systems again.
|
Yeah I looked and it does actually say VTR1000 on the plate on the exhaust. With the number RC159.

Welcome and congrats on the bike. That's the first exhaust I've seen on here similar to mine.
Also like the car, I used to own a 91 VR4! Damn thing drew too much attention and I got pulled over more times in the first year I owned that than on any bike I've owned in the last 15 years. Also got 3 speeding tickets, 2 were BS but the first was 75 in a 45. The officer was less than impressed when I replied, "Not bad for 2nd gear, huh?" LOL |
Welcome
If your not riding Red your better off being Dead. By the way the steering wheel is on the wrong side:rotf: |
