Hi All! Bought a SH about a month ago and I have learned so much from you all. Thank you. I've wanted one since they came out and am finally in a place in my life to get one and love riding it. Hope to see you on the road and stay safe!

Thanks all! I live in the Phx area. :) I bought the complete RC51 front end from FL02SupaHawk996 today. Went out for a ride to celebrate. Man, I love riding this bike! Still a leery around the corners, though. Just don't have that confidence I've had on other bikes with it yet but such a beautiful engine.

Corners will no longer be an issue once you bolt up the RC51 legs and those big 320mm rotors will stop you on a dime with nine cents change:shock: |
welcome to the forum. Please send some AZ weather to Illinois right away

How much did you end up paying for the bike?

Welcome and congrats, love the high mounts, sharp looking bike

Welcome, there has been a bunch of new owners lately.

Thanks all. Yeah, one of the first things I started looking into was raising the bars a little. So this setup works great!
I got the bike for 2800 w/ a fairly new jacket. Had the R/R already done. Jardine High Mount Exhaust. Steering Stab. Needed Tires, Chain/Sprockets, and Front Pads. Got tires already. Pads are coming with the front end from FLO and I ordered a 520 conversion off e-ay. All in all, I'm pretty happy with it. |
With the stock forks I was able to corner fairly aggressively, it was very stable in a turn, and while it took more effort to turn in than I'd like and the front flexed over bumps, it wasn't "scary"
If your front feels scary, I'd check your tires first, and make sure the forks aren't dry 2nd. Yes they are not great forks, but they shouldn't be scary. |
