New guy with a 5$ Superhawk
 

Hi guys, new guy here from the state of Maine. A month ago I picked up a 98 with 24k on it for 5-bucks! Loud ticking noise front cylinder bike shuts off. Never to run again. Then it sits untouched for 6 years, Turning into a home for squirrels (nasty mess)
Tore it down in my shop, failed front CCT. and 2 bent exh. valves. My main scoot is a 1000 V-strom, I am looking forward to having the hawk to do some short cruises around town. Moral of the story is I am looking for a used head, anybody got one?
Poking around on the net, it looks like the only place to get valves are from Honda, I could not find anything in the aftermarket....

Nice score! I picked up my 98 for $1000 with a known bad CCT. Luckily mine didn't bend any valves, it just jumped time. Also nice on the 'strom. I had an 03 TLR that was decked out a few years back.
