New guy

Greetings. Couldn't find the right spot where intro's go...or if you all do them...so here we go:

I'm 28, live in Fort Collins, Colorado and recently picked up my first SuperHawk, a darn nice 1998. I've been a lurker on here for 6 months or so as I was researching different v-twin sport bikes and deciding what I wanted. Been mainly into Yammy 650 twins the past 10 years, built a cafe' and a chopper and destroyed a few others. Just needed something different to take out and not have to worry about carrying spare....everything.

Here it is on its maiden voyage to my garage:

welcome, and nice bike. if you've been lurking for 6 months you already know what a great site this is.

Yes, great board, my first spot to look for info. I'll be trolling through the classifieds more now that I've got the machine and need things like exhaust, etc.

:welcome: Don't feel guilty, I lurked for 2 1/2 years after buying my VTR. Your bike looks really clean. Isn't Fort Collins where Fat Tire is brewed?

Oh and sorry, I can't resist..."Book 'em Dano!".

Dano 01-11-2009 08:10 PM

Yep, this is where they make Fat Tire. O'Dell's is here too, they make 90 Schilling and Easy Street Wheat. Bud has a big plant north of town too, but I'm out of college and can afford to drink better beer now. :D

The bike is incredibly clean, I almost didn't ride it before buying it. The gent I got it from was the most clean and organized person I've met in a long time, so I knew it came from a good home and had been kept up.

Nope! Factory paint! This bike has been very well cared for by the previous two owners.
