I visited Tampa a decade ago and it looks gorgeous at this time of year compared to grey and blustery England - how are gonna cope when the heat & humidity of summer kicks in?

Watched the first vid - not sure of my bearings after all the twists & turns but did you finish near Hidden River Parkway? And it took me back when I first got my storm and getting to know the gearing & compression coming up to tight corners - very different after a revvy 600 UJM.

that motorcycle cop in your "i got a ticket" video sounded like an angry little elf. I bet he has a small man complex.

and was that can of tuna (katana) you were on, that gauge clusters looks exactly like a pre 98, I used to ride a 1990 600.

That was not near hidden river parkway at all, but fun fact I Used to work not even 1/4 mile from hidden river at my last job lol.

geekonamotorcycle 02-07-2011 11:23 AM

yes sir

saige 02-07-2011 11:26 AM

im trying to join but it wont let me,keeps saying they dont allow spammers

geekonamotorcycle 02-07-2011 11:27 AM

Hmm maybe you got the verification code wrong? or your email address is not acceptable. Never heard that problem before.

saige 02-07-2011 11:28 AM

this sucks,i did everything like any other site im on.i will try differnt email i guess.

geekonamotorcycle 02-07-2011 12:07 PM

I just talked to the admin he says that can happen b/c of username or IP or email addy. what username did you try and who is your email provider?

saige 02-07-2011 12:15 PM

i put saige,and its gmail,but i used a yahoo email too.it all says the same thing :(

geekonamotorcycle 02-07-2011 12:20 PM

ok he says it is probably IP. if you are at work you might be in an IP range that has been blocked. You may try from a cellphone or another ISPs connection.

saige 02-07-2011 12:24 PM

im at home, but i will try on my other computer or ipod, maybe from phone.i will try that way.

geekonamotorcycle 02-07-2011 12:26 PM

yah it has to be another IP address so anything connected to your home IP wont work.

geekonamotorcycle 02-07-2011 12:26 PM

someone in your address range was a spammer lol you have a dickhead neighbor

saige 02-07-2011 12:29 PM

Lol I hope not,it's my router,I have wireless in my house, maybe my comp has something in it hmmmmmm

geekonamotorcycle 02-07-2011 12:32 PM

NO someone in the range of IP addresses you ISP gave you was a spammer. You were just unlucky to be assigned in that range this time :-(

saige 02-07-2011 12:37 PM

hmmmmm i will figure it out.i hope,we will see here in couple of mins

uchi 02-07-2011 02:15 PM

welcome, the sound quality is pretty good in your vids, from the shadow it looks like youre using a go pro for your vids, hd version or just the standard one? i find with my non hd go pro i get alot of wind noise and it takes away from the sound of the bike quite a bit

NooB 02-07-2011 04:28 PM

^^Same here, geekonamc, did you do anything to the mic on your GoPro?

geekonamotorcycle 02-07-2011 04:33 PM

I use a seperate mic setup.
it is a Go Pro HD typically mounted on top of my helmet.
I use cyberlink to edit and remove the go pro sound (sometimes I lower it and use the go pro source for background noise) and place in the voice recorder audio.
I use badaboom and my nvidia card to convert the video also so it is converted 2 or 3 times. the source video is actually very high quality.
I source in R2 mode 1280*720

I am bored at home sick so maybe I will make a video on the setup in a second.

geekonamotorcycle 02-07-2011 07:54 PM

Here is a link on my set up.

That's creepy. A video of the forum linked to the same thread that it's videoing. I hear Rod Serling somewhere...

geekonamotorcycle 02-07-2011 09:39 PM

haha surreal right?

7moore7 02-07-2011 09:50 PM

So what brought you to the Superhawk? Was it a love at first sight or an acquired taste after much research and deliberation... or did it just eat your Katana for breakfast so you figured "what the heck, I'll give this a shot"?

And yes, I'm putting thought words in.

Welcome, BTW- there's a lot of other moto geeks around here with tons of info on the VTR
