new to forum

This forum is a really great resource for riders of all kinds. I'm new, only been here for a few weeks. I have been riding bikes of all kinds since I was 13 but the VTR is new to me so this forum is a great place to get information and make new friends. My best riding buddy recommended this site, he had a '98 VTR. I think his monicker was, "moto-rama", His name was Jim. Maybe some of you here remember him. He totaled his beloved super chicken when he hit a dear one morning. He survived, the hawk didn't. Anyway, I'm glad to be here and plan to ride this bike for 100k miles. cheers!

Welcome

Where you located?

Enjoy the place, ton of info available with just a simple search, and the members here really value the help your self mentality while offering help when asked.

Toss up a pic of the new ride,,, we like to look at Super Hawks around here.

I am in San Francisco. I don't see many superhawks here but I know they're out there. What a great bike, can't stop grinning, got this silly grin on my face! BTW, how DO I post a picture? If I have it in my photo album, can I load it to my post?

Click under User CP on the top left, and scroll down the options until you see

Yes you can. When you go to your album and view the pic, you will see two links below it. First says picture URL, second is BB code. Highlight what's in the BBcode box and right-click copy, then paste that in your post. Viola!

Welcome on board, it's a great forum, in fact I think it's one of the best out there! There are too many forums with allot of useless info' due to different reasons, I guess most likely organization and ease of the forum and the type of crowd they attract.
This forum is very focused mainly because of a small core of people that keeps it this way!!!

Cheers

Twist welcome - a friend lives in the city by the bay & rides too, but sadly not a VTR.

I saw another post by U saying U had a R100. I owned 3 R types, but the one I loved best was a '78 R100RS, loved that fairing, no reason for rain gloves w/ those.

Anyway keep the rubber side down
