new fairing help

new fairing help

just got in a used sharkskin bottom fairing and was wondering if any suggestions are out there as far as wrapping exhaust or putting heat shield on inside of fairing. thanks for your help

Well, whether you wrap it (really cheap - especially if you do it yourself) or coat it (still not to bad, only $150 and looks better), you'll be fine there. If it's a used piece, look for burn/cook marks on the inside of it, near where the exhaust runs. If there's not any such markings, you're probably fine leaving it alone.

Always apply the heared wrap wet. Throw it in a bucket and soak it first for 5 to 10 minutes. It will stretch and apply tighter, then when you start it and as it drys it will contract and make a tight fit.
