Nice looking bike. If you need someone to ride the RC while out on the CBR, let me know.

Well I put a little over 200 miles on the CBR today and it's very nimble and DAM FAST.... It feels very light, can't wait to get it on the track.

Hey Don, you know they (slightly) neutered the US version of the '08 1000RR in order to meet EPA noise regs. You're gonna have to fix that.

Yes I know they are (slightly) neutered...US version is limited to 179 mph with the EPA noise stuff. I will do the normal mods in time.

I don't know about speed limiting, but they did something in the ECU to kill the power at the very top because, apparently, the EPA measures noise at half peak horsepower RPM, so Honda just electronically lowered the RPM at which the US version makes peak horsepower. It's not that much and it's in a part of the powerband that's not all that important, but it does make you want to go choke a bureaucrat.

By limiting the top rpm is what holds the top speed.... But Hell it runs dam good in stock form. I will be at Nashville Speedway Oct 4th and Nelson Ledges Oct 11th for a track day.
