In the rain.

denmah 06-01-2006 07:37 PM

Scumbag 06-01-2006 07:38 PM

no doode....what gear as in 123456?.......I could care less what you ride in..haha

denmah 06-01-2006 07:41 PM

2nd gear lol sorry.

nineighthawk 06-01-2006 10:46 PM

Second gear wheelies are the best :)
Just pop the throttle then up up and away!!

Third is fun too if you are not afraid of the landing.

I actually like using my second gear for this ...................

superhawk22 06-01-2006 11:13 PM

Damn hooligans!

EngineNoO9 06-02-2006 01:46 AM

to those who are doing wheelies in 2nd gear. shifting into 2nd, clutching it or power wheelies? I can't sem to get it up in 2nd by doing a power wheelie.... though i don't do stand up wheelies... and well my jetting needs some work but still... 1st is simple but 2nd... no way... i do have it stay up in 2nd when going over rollers if I'm on the throttle...

denmah 06-02-2006 04:51 AM

i actually feel really comfortable powering up in 1st, because its so easy and goes so strait etc ahaha

but clutching 2nd is how i get the job done, or some days im feeling frisky, i can power up 1st and drop into 2nd and keep her going

superchicken996 06-02-2006 05:45 AM

My '98 had more balls than my current '03 and could power up in 2nd gear. The easy way on any SH could be to feather the clutch in 2nd at 55mph.

The real question is... how many guys who own SH's have every looped it? Unfortunately this seems to be the most popular bike to go over backwards.

denmah 06-02-2006 05:48 AM

well i can see why people loop them i mean roll out in 1st and crack it hard at 7k hahaha instant 12oclock

denmah 06-02-2006 05:51 AM

oh and one more bike that is scary as hell with looping is the sv1000s, my friend has one i rode, 125hp and 100 ftlbs at the wheel, shorter wheel base than the superhawk, now just imagine that for a while...

wheelies

well i'm new on here but i've had my hawk for about 3 months. I love it riding wheelies. I normally pick up in 2nd and ride it through 3rd, and into 4th. But hey i'm one of those people that has to learn how to ride a wheelie b/c all my friends do it that i ride with. lol These bikes are great for wheelies they are torquie and have a Great Balancin Point. Once you get over the scaredness to bring it up you will get to they point that u just cruise on back wheel no problem.

Pdaddy 06-02-2006 08:17 AM

2nd gear is the best on these... clutch it up and it stays there I have gotten mind to power up in second though, it seems terrain transfer adds it in getting the height to keep it up .. same with 3rd

nineighthawk 06-02-2006 04:19 PM

I'm running a 15/44 sprocket combo and my 98 powers up all day in second. Third takes some work to pick up the front, but it is easy once you figure it out. Third comes up real easy when standing if you are able to do a stand-up.
