A nail in my tire causing the hawk fall over on it's kickstand.

The other day I got a nail in my tire which caused a slow leak and then eventually my hawk fell on its side. The front blinker separated. The exhaust hanger bent which I fixed. My foot peg seems to be bent (or moved) onto my rear brake pedal. This was a first time the bike has been on its side, it made me want to cry. lol. Now my bike is on its rear stand so it won't happen again. Has this or something similar ever happened to you guys?

The rear tire on my VTR was punctured while I was riding from Algonquin Park 7 or 8 years ago. Fortunately the pavement on a sideroad nearby was in terrible condition (which is common in this province) and I was able to find a small hole to put the foot of the sidestand in while I used a tire repair kit. The bike would have fallen to the right on level pavement when the sidestand was down.

Yup, but I was riding when I got the flat so I noticed that the stand was now "too tall". Parked it on a slight hill.

First time mine went over, my stand got "too short" due to fresh pavement. I knew better too, I was simply in a hurry and not paying attention. :banghead:

Bikes are inherently unstable vehicles. Hope you plugged the nail hole.

I actually had this happen when my penske shock failed and lost pressure, sinking the rear.

Yea, I am going to plug it being the tire have less than 1000 miles on them.
