Had a '76 with an RC Engineering 4 into 1 and a double front disc setup in the late '70s, one of my favorite motorbikes...

I just picked up a 1975 CB750 frame. I'll be building one of these from the ground up this winter but I'll be doing a cafe bike. I love those old 750 SOHC's. Problem is I can't find a good engine for a decent price. There's plenty of them out there but they're all corroded and horrid looking and most of them are frozen. Still lookin though. Congrats and looking forward to seeing what you do with it! They make fantastic Cafe bikes!

Very, very clean!!! I have a '78 F SuperSport, that I'm building into a Cafe Fighter. Always loved the old bikes.

Sorry guys but those old CB750's are top heavy, overweight toads. You should look at old CB 550's. They're about the same weight as a SH, ran rings around the 750's in the twisties ( I know I won a 750 National championship on one). Find a 590 kit and a stg1 cam and you're really in for a treat.

To each his own, and I agree the 550 might pack a better punch with it's power to weight, they're pretty quick. I came across the deal of a lifetime and bought mine for $150 WITH a Yoshimura hand bent race system, High lift Andrews Cam, Dual valve springs, Ti retainers, HD Cam chain, Adj Cam Sprocket, LockHart Phillips oil cooler kit and 836 big bore. Swapped the lowered stock rear swingarm for a CBR600F2 unit and in the slow process of welding in a monoshock from a 1100XX, and the stock lowered front swapped for a YZF600R front end. It was a "drag bike" that was wrecked and the owner got scared. I realize it's a heavy bike, but I'm not exactly the lightest guy, and for the price, I couldn't pass it up within the first 15 seconds of looking over it.
