Motorcycle Lifts
I am in the market for a motorcycle lift. I have no air compressor so need just a hyd one. Has anyone used or have an ideal on where to get and how much. What has worked for you.

its a little bit from you but I noticed a nice one on craigslist in the minneapolis section under motorcycles yesterday. Some mechanic selling a 2 year old one with almost no use and cheap I thought. No affiliation etc but just noticed it and your post.

The jack may not fit underneath your bike, since the exhaust pipe runs underneath. You could get creative with some 2x4's, but a set of stands would be easier.

No I mean something like this

Have you tried your local Craigslist or perhaps contacting some local shops? |

I bet Harbor Freight Tools would have something like that. You should check 'em out. If you have the patience to wait for it to go on sale, you'll end up with a great deal. Try this: http://search.harborfreight.com/cpis...ycle&Submit=Go

I've 3 different bikes on it numerous times with excelent results each time. This thing makes workign on a bike so much easier!! I don't now how I did anything with out it before! They run sales that will get you one for $299. Its well worth it. The hydraulic jack it comes with has been a zero maintainence iteam for me. It is really easy to pump the bike up, takes about 36 pumps. My only complaint is the included fron tire chalk/clamp sucks. You'd be wise to bolt a better one on there! Although, it has yet to cause a problem in service for me, the chaulk/clamp is a bit flimsy. When you pick it take a freind, its damn heavy and akward. |
they sell a few in an auto trader around here with the wheel clamp and all but I think they are air operated I'd just buy a 99$ wal-mart compressor and an air lift just my .02
