Mirrors won't set.

Hi I got a 1997 vtr1000 V2, of which I'm very pleased, but my mirrors displace when driving. Do I need to replace them? Or are there any tricks?

1st welcome to the group.
Check the 2 10mm nuts that hold them tight through the fairing stay. If you can't stop wobble there, chances are you may need replacements.

Where is the motion located? At the base, or at the actual mirror?

Not much that you can do about that, except get them into the EXACT position you want them, then glue them in place. Or...
