Might get a 98

Hi, so I have been trying to sell my Buell and found someone who wants to trade with a 98 Superhawk. It has 27,000 but honestly is the cleanest used bike I have ever seen. I mean this thing looks showroom clean and he took care of it. Its got the baffles removed and has lowers on it. Anything to look for other than if the CCTs were replaced? It runs great so I am pretty sure I am going to go for it. Just wanted to hear a second opinion about what you think about a high mileage Hawk, I am not to worried as I can tell he took great care of it.

My 98 has 48000 kms on it and it runs great. Once you go with the VTR you'll never go back, I love it!

20k on my '98. Good fun at a reasonable price. Got the baffles out of mine. Sounds good at the beginning of a ride. Four hours later it can be a bit loud.

Do it! 23k miles on my '05. It's all about the torque! :wheelie:

33k on the ole '98 and runnin strong. Most smiles per mile of any bike I've ever ridden. Don't let the guy you're trading with know where you live...he might try to take it back. And you may want to change your screen name Ferris. :fawkdance:

So the guy is going to think about the trade for a day or two before he makes up his mind. I am really hoping he goes for it. First thing I would do before I even ride it is the CCT then give her hell for a few thousand miles. I'll let you know ASAP if I get it, I'm pretty excited.

That's a purty looking Buell...but I think the Hawk will win ya over. Hope you get it. :)

Haha I know I fit the definition of a squid here with this pic of me with my mohawk and shorts, but trust me, after watching my buddy go over backwards at 60 I NEVER ride without a coat, jeans, gloves and so on...http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...b/WHEELIE1.jpg

Yeah I am really torn on getting rid of the Buell because its such a rare bike (not like a Superhawk isn't) but the reliability just isn't what I need it to be...Attachment 30124

And that is by far the nicest looking Buell I've ever seen.
