Man charged in death of teen motorcyclist
BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A grand jury in northeast Tennessee has indicted a man in the traffic death of a teenage motorcyclist. The Kingsport Times reported several charges, including vehicular homicide and aggravated assault, were returned against 25-year-old Daniel Eli McGuire of Kingsport by a Sullivan County grand jury. Police said McGuire was driving a pickup truck that ran though a Highway Patrol checkpoint on July 11, sped through a bridge construction site and struck a motorcycle. The motorcycle rider, 17-year-old Joshua Darnell, was killed. Authorities said the pickup driver then tried to flee on foot. The assault charges relate to troopers and construction workers who scrambled to avoid being struck. |
my condolences to the family. god bless

If I was a cop and I had to scramble from being struck you better believe the driver would be scrambling too, from my bullets!
Glad they got this one and actually charged him correctly. Any reason for him to run the road block? |
Usually they run from the scene of an accident here in Caifornia if they are DUI, or Illegal with no driver's license or both.
