Look at these pegs

What do you think of these pegs? I'm considering them because after I changed to the corbin seat I noticed that my feet are a little too close to my butt for comfort.

I can't speak for the product, but I've dealt with the eBay seller before and everything went smoothly.

They look nice.

On a lighter note....how do you like the snow today Greep?

Re: Look at these pegs

All I know is this would have been a great riding week if it weren't for the weather. :?

Utah996 03-09-2006 10:34 AM

I agree I have only ridden twice this year so far....its depressing.

As far as those pegs go....with your new seat are you sitting closer/on the tank? What seat did you get?

Re: Look at these pegs

I got the corbin gunfighter and lady, and maybe I'm dreaming it, but it seems like the seat is a little lower, and thus closer to the pegs. I Think that on a long ride although my butt wouldn't be aching my legs might be fatigued.

Utah996 03-09-2006 12:33 PM

So questions...does the seat feel like it keeps you off the tank better? As far as it being lower...it could be. Either way I would think that being able to change the peg position would make it more comfortable with or without the new seat.

Re: Look at these pegs

I can't say if it keeps me off the tank better or not, but the seat design is way more comfortable. I agree on the peg thing, and I am debating whether to try those or not. I would also like to do some Helibars or something similar.

Utah996 03-09-2006 12:46 PM

Well if they were $45-50 I would say try them and if you didnt like them sell them....but yeah $129...is a little different.

The reason I asked about the seat is my wife rides the SH more than I do and she always seems to hit the tank with her pelvic bone. If the weather ever clears and we can get you to come riding...would you mind her sitting on it to see if its better? Oh and how much did you spend of the seat if you dont mind me asking?

Re: Look at these pegs

That would be no problem at all, and I plan to do a lot more riding than I got to do last year. Oh, and I went ahead and put a bid on the pegs. We'll see what happens.

Utah996 03-09-2006 12:59 PM

Cool! And yeah if you win the bid let us all know how they work for you.

As for more riding....I better see you around...haha! I live on 9400So. now...so I'm sure you'll be seeing me on my RC.

Re: Look at these pegs

Oh, I missed the end I think I paid $160-180 with the backrest. I got it so that there was somewhere to tie a pack to for longer rides. Are you on the east or west side now? I'm about 9400 and about 4400 west.

Utah996 03-09-2006 01:04 PM

Damn you got a deal....where did you buy it from?

We are on like 700 West..by River Oaks Golf Course

I am an ebay whore. . .and I'm not ashamed to admit it 8) There is a guy that lives right over there with a TL1000(r or s, can't remember) that has yoshi's on it. I don't know if you've seen him, but that thing sounds sweeeeet.

Utah996 03-09-2006 01:11 PM

Good old ebay! Haha! Nothing wrong with being an ebay whore...I look on there everyday almost...apparently I miss the deals.

I havent seen him, but I'm sure I will now that you said something.

Let me know if you want to do the VFR bar mod.
I got a set of VFR bars & had them powder coated black.
Ended up doing Vortex clipons instead.
Also have some GenMar handle bar risers I'm not using anymore.
Guess I should "eBay" them soon.
Finally got used to the riding position of the stock bars then went lower & further forward with the Vortex....still getting used to that :-)

Thanks for posting that bling, one of the things I was wondering about was the articulation of the foot controls, so you answered that for me.
