lightened flywheel

Hello again,

some of you may recall I had asked a question regarding the possibility of installing a lightened flywheel on the VTR. Well, as fate would have it, there was a used one for sale on eBay that very week (was it Providence? lol) in the UK so I bought it (for a measly $20 CAN) and had it sent directly to Roger at Revolution Racing for machining and balancing. Well, the work is done and now my baby is coming home I will be installing it this Spring and am really looking forward to firing up the 'ol girl with the new flywheel. It should be more responsive (lighter, less inertia) and smoother (precise balancing)...woohoo!!!!

I am also looking forward to trying my new steering damper and fork brace. I also picked up an undertail and tank bra (have to keep her pretty! lol) and will be picking up a brighter Xenon headlight bulb (same wattage as stock) too (so the bike can be bright even if the owner isn't, lol).

While I have your attention, I am trying to find some flush-mount turn signals for the front. AS I hope to be able to keep the running lights, I am seeking some with three wires but am running into difficulty finding some (they all seem to have only two wires). Any suggestions ? If at all possible, I would prefer to find a supplier in Canada (no offense fellow non-Canadian VTR'ers) so as not to get stiffed with the duties and the rest of that trans-border crap. Any suggestions?

cheers

Re: lightened flywheel

This is what I have
Lockhart Phillips Flush Mount IV Marker Lights
Size small, Clear with amber bulbs, Daul Filament

http://www.lockhartphillipsusa.com/rs/showProduct.cgi

Item # 1229975
Or just type in - flush mount - to see all the options

I'm sure someone in Canada sell these.

I got mine from MAW but wouldn't recommend them - their S&H is too high!

I have these flexable 12 led flush mounts in front,(no pics yet) they are only the 2 wire type so I put a set of flush trailer lights in the air scoops for the running lights. I also had a set of 3 wire leds in front I found on ebay that worked well but the mounting sucked,(3m double sided tape). Anyway if you went with a 2 wire that's another option to pu running lights in the fairing and you can see them from all angles.

Re: lightened flywheel

LP is a massive company and any motorcycle shop should carry them or order a set for $40 tops
